Playa Grande, Abreu & Cabrera

We are located in the Dominican Republic only about 4 miles from the famous Playa Grande Golf Course, also known as the “Pebble Beach of the Caribbean.” With 10 of its 18 holes hugging soaring ocean sea cliffs, the vistas alone will distract you if the cross winds don’t.  This Caribbean golf course is a delight and a challenge, depending upon how fixated you are on winning.

The town of Abreu is home to Villa Cantamar, the first luxury vacation villa to be built in this tiny rural community.  Abreu is also home to Seatree Estates, the secure, gated community in which Villa Cantamar was built.  Seatree Estates hugs the ocean sea cliffs, just like Playa Grande, with some of the most amazing vistas imaginable for building a vacation home.

Abreu itself is something like a suburb of the larger city of Cabrera, where there is plenty of nightlife, bars and restaurants.  Cabrera hosts a number of luxury villas and is the home to North Coast Management, the property and rental management company for Villa Cantamar.

One of the most noticeable things in this area of the North Coast is the serenity, beauty and peacefulness one feels.  The area is dotted with some of the most gorgeous and accessible beaches on the island.  Playa Grande, Playa Diamonte, Playa Caleton and many others are highlights of the area and not to be missed.

Since this part of the island faces mostly to the east, you enjoy the soothing trade winds virtually throughout the year.  Although our vacation villa has air conditioning, you will likely find that you do not need it as much as you think.  Waking up to the flutter of an ocean breeze across your brow is another thing you definitely should not miss!
